Viking is looking for a talented senior designer with over 6 years’ experience to join their integrated marketing team. Responsible for producing creative, high quality printed and digital marketing collateral showcasing the full Viking product range, this hands-on role requires a conceptual thinker with an innate sense of curiosity.
Key responsibilities
- Producing bespoke print collateral including brochures, advertising, flyers, catalogues, magazines, signage, stationery
- Creation of dynamic digital collateral such as interactive e-books, videos for social posts and advertising, animated GIFs, animated HTML5 and static web banners, infographics, Facebook tiles and eDM banners
- Concept to execution production of sales campaign collateral inclusive of overarching creative thematic and collateral for various marketing channels
- Acting as brand custodian and ensure brand guidelines are adhered to at all times in the creative process
- Assuring all work meets high production values and follows current company brand guidelines
- Collaborating with marketing team on the creation of all assets
- Implementing the most efficient briefing and production processes to meet internal and external deadlines and continually improving procedures to maximise efficiency
- Managing the production of all print jobs from start to finish ensuring quality control, correct specifications and working with marketing managers to develop and make sure deadlines are met
- Developing and maintaining relationships with a selection of printers and other third-party vendors such as AdobeStock and Dropbox
- Signing off on all print and digital proofs
- Working with online collateral submission systems for advertisements and brochures such as AdSend, AdStream, InSite, Integration X, Issuu and others
- Liaising with global offices on the sharing of creative assets including cataloguing collateral from other markets, acquiring resources, debriefing of new content
- Sourcing on-brand images and videos from global asset libraries and company managed AEM database and working with head office on global rights
- Ensuring organisation of all files on server including images and video for authorised usage across all marketing channels
- Educating marketing team on how to correctly use Adobe Creative Cloud and Libraries to create basic digital assets or make basic amends, and approving all creative before it goes live
- Collaborating with freelance designers when required
- Mentoring design interns
Required skills and experience
- Formal training in Desktop Publishing or Graphic Design
- Strong design portfolio that demonstrates conceptual and creative thinking translated into design solutions
- Creative flair and an eye for good design
- A conceptual thinker
- Demonstrated extensive experience in a Mac OS environment with: Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, InCopy, Bridge and LightRoom,
- Experienced in brochure and direct mail production
- Detailed knowledge of printing and pre-press and managing print jobs
- Photo retouching skills
- Motivated and uses initiative
- Strong organisational skills and able to manage multiple projects
